CUFR Champollion – Mecagenius

Mecagenius ( was developed to train operators of digitally commanded machine tools. Mecagenius was selected as a project with great potential for technical innovation and use, following Nathalie Kosiusko-Morizet’s call for serious gaming projects in May 2009.

KTM Advance joined forces with the Université Jean-François Champollion and its partners (Institut Clément ADER, IRIT, UMR EFTS, Ecole de Technologie Supérieure de Montréal) for Mecagenius. The serious games project has also received the support of Aerospace Valley: World Competitiveness Pole of the Midi-Pyrénées and Aquitaine (Aeronautics, Space, Embedded Systems).

Project Specifics?

– A multiplayer game, accessible on line in a digital workspace (ENT),
– A multitude of mini-games (identification, implementation, production, machine tool architecture, fabrication, English) in keeping with the listed competences,
– Tools for lesson follow-up,
– A technical library with 700 3D models and over 50 activities.
